Acupuncture and Infertility: Finding Fertile Ground With an Ancient Therapy
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is just as old as the country's long history, and has a close relationship with ancient China's comprehensive philosophy. It thinks that the human body is a small universe with a set of complete and sophisticated close-related subsystems. Those systems usually work harmoniously to maintain the normal function of the human body. And if the systems do not work normally, the body gets ill. TCM is dedicated to assisting the balance of human body and urges the body's healing system to do its job. If the balance is restored, the man heals.
TCM seems mysterious, then what is the basic theory of TCM? There are mainly five theories - Yin and Yang, the five elements, how to direct one's strength, Zangfu (internal body organs), and channels.
What is Yin and Yang? They can be interpreted as feminine and masculine in the whole nature. It is believed that the relative balance of Yin and Yang serves as the basis to maintain the normal actives of the human body. If such balance was disturbed, some disease comes. Then TCM will try to restore the balance, and help the body back to normal and healthy.

What is the five elements? They are gold, wood, water, fire and earth. Each of the five elements is seen as having a series of correspondences relating both to the natural world and human body. TCM uses a system if inner relationship between the five elements to understand how the various process of the body support and control each other.
There are usually four steps that a TCM doctor takes for the diagnosis of disease: Observation, Auscultation and Olfaction, Interrogation, Pulse Feeling and Palpation.
Observation
To observe, it is believed that people's outer appearance is closely linked with their internal organs. If there is something wrong with the internal organs, such changes will be reflected in their expressions and appearance.
Auscultation and Olfaction
By methods of auscultation and olfaction, doctors try to diagnose the disease by listening to the sound of the patients and smelling the odor of excreta released by human body.
Interrogation
By interrogation, doctor will talk to the patients or someone who know the diseases to get the information about how the disease occurs, how it develops, its current symptoms and how it is treated.
Pulse Feeling and Palpation
Doctors use the method of pulse feeling and palpation by touching or pressing the patient's pulse. It is believed that changes inside the body are reflected by the changes of the pulse activity.

Myself and my husband had been trying to get pregnant for 18 months before I was referred to Native Iyabasira fertility solution. We had no definite diagnosis of what was wrong and had become very frustrated. In November 2015 I was given a thorough reproductive health work up, I found out I had low progesterone, thyroid issues and a stomach issue which was affecting my ability to get pregant. This was a very thorough process involving dietary, hormonal and physical investigations and started the recommended treatments in Feb 16 2016. I was pregnant by april 16. I had a baby boy in march 2017. I was carefully monitored and mother Iyabasira was always available for me. I can recommend native iyabasira more highly so much so we are hoping to start trying for a second baby under her guidance.
